Army Ant - Custom O-Miku Figure

I was supplied with a blank vinyl O-Miku figure, manufactured by Crypton and Clutter. The shape of the hair bunches immediately reminded me of ant mandibles and with a little heat treatment I was able to reposition them into a pose that suited the idea. I amputated the figure's arms and replaced her tiny feet with an abdomen. I formed an armature for the legs with steel wire. I sculpted some insect detail onto the form and made a Full Metal Jacket-style helmet from epoxy clay.
