Footprint Devil Enigmini

The Devil's Footprints appeared one night in the fresh snow around towns and villages in Devon in 1855. The goat-like tracks ran for miles through gardens, over walls and across rooftops. Although the creator of the tracks was never established, I particularly like the suggestion that the cloven prints were produced by the demon Buer, who is described as being a wheel of multiple hoofed legs.

This 40mm tall Footprint Devil art figure is based on Louis Breton's illustration of Buer for the 1818 Dictionnaire Infernal and is presented as one of a series of blind-packed resin art pieces. Each Enigmini design is traditionally sculpted in clay and hand cast in resin. They are individually finished and inked in one of several colourways (not all shown here). Enigminis are supplied blind-boxed at random in bespoke recycled card packaging, closed with a wax seal.
